Open sea and archipelago
Oxelösund's archipelago has activities ideal for families and those looking for adventure. Go kayaking in the relatively undisturbed archipelago or spend some quiet time with friends and family at one of the many seaside resorts.
Guided archipelago tours 2009
This summer we will be offering guided archipelago tours around Oxelösunds many islands. The Summer 2009 programme includes: Seal safari - Join us in June for a picturesque trip to Oxelösund's outermost archipelago. The main purpose is to look for the grey seal but chances are good that we´ll even sight white-tailed eagles.
Hävringe Natur & Kultur - Visit the old pilotage site, Hävringe, accompanied by experienced archipelago guides and enjoy!

Sailing
Oxelösund is the ideal base for sailing enthusiasts. The winds are often strong and open waters are close at hand. Oxelösund's sailing club arranges competitions, courses and can offer tips.

Canoeing
Oxelösunds archipelago is made for paddling. There is something for both beginners and veteran canoeists.
Kajak och Fritid in Oxelösund has kayaks for hire and organises tours. Kajak och Fritid is located right after the bridge to Femöre, +46 (0)70 644 9776,

Beaches and bathing places
The beach at Jogersö is Sörmland's largest with diving tower, beach volleyball, seaside coffee shop, miniature golf, restaurant, relax areas, exercise trails and generous grassy areas for fun and games.
Stenviksbadet has a quiet family-oriented beach with a kiosk.
Vivesta has a charming little beach.
The island Beten has a amazing view from the beach overlooking the horizon. Fiskeskär is a ferryboat that makes daily tours during the summer from the guest harbour Badhusviken.
Femörehuvud has loads of cliffs that are ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The fort, Femörefortet has a summer kiosk and offers a shady place to cool down.
The tip of Brannäs wetlands has great cliffs for lazy days in the sun.
Äspskär island has flat rock cliffs perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
Fiskeskär is a ferryboat that makes daily tours during the summer from the guest harbour Badhusviken.
Femörehuvud and Jogersö have specially marked swimming areas for our canine friends.
Marine service
For seaborne visitors, Oxelösund offers all of the service you may require throughout the year. Safely moor at one of our two guest harbours and enjoy a delicious meal at one of the harbour restaurants.
Badhusviken and Fiskehamnen have a complete range of boat accessories and other peripheral services like winter storage and an overhaul shipyard. They have vast experience of boats of all sizes and models.
Tips! Take the tuff-tuff train from the guest harbour to the centre of town. Stock up on good food and beverages and everything that makes your holiday even better! The train is free!
Fishing
Oxelösund and its archipelago offers excellent fishing. Fishing with hand-held equipment is freely permitted along the entire coast so grab your rod and take a shot at catching your dinner.

Boat trips in the archipelago
M/S Fiskeskär makes daily trips during the summer to the islands Beten and Äspskär and can also be chartered. Beten has a fantastic sand shore, great walking trails and a barbeque site. Besides the barbeque site and lovely natural surroundings, Äspskär has beautiful flat stone cliffs that are great for swimming.

Oxelösunds harbour
With one of the deepest harbours in the Baltic Sea,16.5 metres deep, we can host the largest vessels. Watch the pilots bring in the ships at the lookout in Fiskehamnen where you´ll find both benches and binoculars.
